Word > Humanity?

OKay, I never take a political stance, but since there are really only two people reading this thing I figured it would be a great opportunity to get this off my chest without forcing a large number of people to deal with my drivel.  I was watching this amazing interview with Jon Stewart and Huckabee and I have to say that Mr. Stewart has done us all a world of good by stepping back from his satiric platform to as the questions that I wanted the answers to about Prop 8.  And the result was about what I expected.  The flim-flam of rhetoric and patent lies to support a view of gays that is just as false as the views used to be on blacks, jews, insert your choice of minorities here.

The fact that all Huckabee could do was fall back on the Bible (which is hardly an argument as parts of the bible have been washed clean of blood, changed to suit modern needs or ignored all together) and the sanctity of a word (Which begs the question which John didn't ask "So a word is more important than human rights?" but I think he still got the point across.) is all very telling.  It is all just regurgitated crap over and over again.

My favorite part was when John asked Huckabee when he chose to be a heterosexual and pointed out one very obvious truth...

Religion is much more of a choice than sexuality!

If you want to see the fabulous interview, click the link.  And send a thank you to JS for standing up for a group he is tied to only peripherally, through human decency and kindness...

Thank You All You Wonderfully Obsessi ve People...

OK, I am actually going to try not to be snarky this post...uhm...er...fuck it..

Perfection just rolled over 100,000 page views and that is all on account of you wonderfully obsessive people!  Three cheers for OCD like You and ME!!

Yaaaaaay, Team!!

;)

And now back to your regularly scheduled program...  (AKA perving at the lovely ladies...)

DAx =/\=

Wow! People read this thing!

Imagine my surprise when I got responses!  is that what is supposed to happen?  Or was it a pleasant mistake?  Heh...  Sorry, but at least I figured out this livejournal thing a little bit!  I can't even go to facebook without feeling like that little hamster running it's wheel inside my head died of a stress induced coronary!!  I mean really...  what the hell is that thing?  (Disclaimer #1: The owner of this...er...blog or whatever it is... means no disrespect to loyal facebook users.  It's not your fault that she is socially challenged!)  Whenever anyone says facebook, this is what I see:

(Disclaimer #2 - That's not mine!)

So yeah... anyhoo...

That wonderful person that used to do my stories here?  She read what I wrote and got all guilty and came back and put up the new ones. (MUhahahahahaha I am the most.evil.person.ever.) So thank you Trina and thank you to those of you that actually read my grinchy previous post and offer to help the techno challenged like me!

Now back to my glass of Sheridan's...  huh?  So what if it's 11:45 in the morning!  It's way past that where buerre lives!!

(Oh if you have never had Sheridan's I do reccomend it!  It is a yummy coffee and cream liqueur [I had to look at the bottle to spell that right...  >.<  OMG I used to be an honor society geek!][Stay in school kids...] The bottle is split in two with the cream on one side and the coffee on the other so they never mix until you pour them.  Kind of like gay and straight people on poll day....)

(Disclaimer #3 - Yes I am bitter about Prop 8!)

Ho Ho Freaking Ho...

So the holidays are here again and I was so bored with the muzak and the fake cheer in the local mall I actually decided to look at the LiveJournal thing again.

I know it is supposed to do something...  I just haven't been able to figure out what.  Don't let all the stories posted fool you, a kindly person who took pity on my Livejournal disability did all that for me and now I have no idea how to get my new Alex/Olivia stories up here since she went and got a life...

I know!  the nerve huh?  ;)

Anyway, so I will be dicking around with this thing while I try to avoid all the jolly crap that is going on outside.  Who knows, maybe I will figure out how to post a story before I am too old to type....
